Its true, there are quite a few robot cafes in Seoul, and more and more are popping up. However, this is by far the most advanced. There are absolutely no human staff, and it is a fully functioning cafe.

You place your order at a robot kiosk, or by QR code at your seat. Then, a barista robot mixes your drink for you. And, finally, the barista robot hands your drink to a server robot, and the server robot brings it directly to your seat. The server robot even sings, and verbally confirms your order as it hands it off to you.
Menu and Pricing
You’re probably thinking there is no way the most advanced robot cafe in Seoul is affordable. However, you’d be wrong! Storant cafe is one of the cheapest cafes in Seoul. In fact, its pretty well on par with those cheap takeout cafes normally located outside of universities.

An americano will only set you back 2,900 KRW. And, only one drink is over 4,000 KRW. Additionally, it has a pretty large set of options on its menu. It sells a few dozen varieties of coffee, tea, and ades.
There is also a self-serve fridge containing reasonably priced cakes, icecream, and sandwiches.
My Experience
Personally, I love this cafe. Sometimes, you just want some quiet time alone. A staffless cafe is just the pace to go when you don’t want to interact with anyone, but get a change of scenery. It’s also open 24/7, so you can go whenever you please.
The booths are wide, and I found it great for studying. I am someone who usually splays out all of their stuff along a table. So, it was a rare find to find somewhere so quiet with such big tables for personal use.
Also, I found it really fun to interact with the robots. It made for a unique study break when I needed it. Plus, they weren’t too bad at mixing drinks. I enjoy the green tea latte here. However, I messed up a bit when I first ordered it. You should always mix the drinks up yourself after receiving them from the robots. Or else, you may end up drinking milk in the beginning and be left with syrup at the bottom in the end. Not so fun.

Overall, I really recommend going to this cafe at least once. It is a really fun place to visit by yourself and bask in the marvel that is Korean technology.
